Lost my old 085 number years ago - any way to get it back?

    It's been over 10 years since I lost the Meteor sim and used the number. I have an old email account that was secured with this number too.

    Would it have been released back into circulation? Is it possible to go to an Eir store and ask for my old number? Do they let you customise it—assuming it's not taken?

    I have called the number and it's saying 'The number you have called is not recognised' and the voicemail trick just said it doesn't correspond to a voice mailbox. So I guess it's a dead number.
