    Ladies/Gents

    Is anyone just after getting there two months electric bill after Xmas with a mad high price

    We did for two of us in aptm, the guts ok 1k in fact. Switched to smart meter a few weeks back and all with electric Ireland. Reading from Dec 23 to Feb 23

    Just seems so high for two ppl and considering we were away for a week also

    Smart plans (if you are on one) are extremely expensive at peak times. They only come into their own if you can use a lot on off peak in the early hours of the morning. You'd need to be charging an EV to really make it worth while I think

    If your heating is regular electric rather than heat pump then I don't think it's that high (depending on how much you had the heating on)

    Smart plan crucified us. Bills went from an already expensive €500 for 2 months to nearly €1000 for 2 months for less total units used.
