Another beer add from the 90s

I'm trying to find an alcoholic drinks advertisement from late '90s-early 2000s.

Set in maybe Havana (Latin American vibe anyway), guy goes into an old building, it has a bar, there is an electricity black out, candles are lit, guy is served his drink, sips.

Time seems to stop, there is a wind, blows through the room, candle blow out, woman in a dark blue dress enters and drags her fingernails down the guy's cheek. Time returns to normal.

Anyone remember this?

Sounds vaguely familiar. Bacardi maybe? It was heavily advertised in the late 90s/early 00s and the ads always had a Cuban themed setting. Cuban, Havana settings seemed to be all the rage for a while in a lot of drink ads.

Even Caffreys tried to get in on the act.

I thought the same as you and spent the last few days on YouTube going through those ads and no luck.

Either the brand is wrong or the ad is not uploaded to YouTube. There’s a Guinness ad that I remember from back then of riders on horses jumping over a dry stone wall at like the cliffs of moher and as far as I can see it’s not on YouTube so there’s probably lots of gaps unfortunately.

And his brother/twin or something rubs his cheek somewhere else. Maybe it was the same lad pulled back to reality and he's back in a bar? I thought it as Tia Maria or something but everyone thinks I dreamt it up.

That rings a bell, his sort of ghostly doppelganger appears next to him and there's all electricity coursing through him.

I remember an ad for Tia Maria which was constantly being shown in the cinema circa 96_97. Bald barman addressing the camera and narrating the tale of "Larry" who smiles at this witchy sexy woman then as barman guy explains "she split him into three Larrys , because she could".

Thats probably why you're thinking of Tia Maria but it's not the main you're thinking of cos I can vaguely remember it and it was definetly not that.

Came across another Guinness ad which was clearly part of the same series. An Irish (?) fella out in Africa playing the drums with the locals and his twin back home having a similar freakout to yer man in the Havanna one. Its the second ad in this upload. For years I had bits of this half remembered in my head and couldn't for the life of me recall what it was for. Its pretty weird.

Edit: The guy in it is Jason Flemying, I thought he looked familiar.

@Hangdogroad the actor in that ad "An Irish (?) fella out in Africa" looks a lot like English actor Jason Flemyng. I did a quick google but no hits for him and a Guinness ad.
