Anyone Know Where I can Buy HKC Sensors?

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a HKC ID sensor to replace one that's gone faulty. Does anyone know where I can buy these over the counter without having to get an alarm company to supply and fit it?

I've been doing my own system maintenance for over 20 years and planned out the HKC system that I now have, so I'm familiar with the system and totally happy changing a sensor myself. I've used up the few spare sensors that the installer left with me and none of the online suppliers seems to sell outside the trade.

I don't want to do anyone out of business, but this is really a case where it's just not worth it for me to pay someone to do a job I can do myself. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be most grateful.

    Thanks in advance!

Most of the main wholesalers are going that way in terms of PSA registered installers buying equipment but its not against the law to install and maintain you own alarm system.

Electrical wholesalers like Wesco and that will sell to you if you go into them.

Thanks @altor. I guess I'll just have to jump in the car and go round a few places.

You might wanna try hitting up the local hardware stores or electronics shops. They might just have what you're looking for.

Thanks @bikermartin. That seems to be the best approach.

In case anyone is interested, I got fixed up with Eurosales in Sandyford. Helpful guy Martin O'Toole there ordered devices in for me as they weren't a stock item. Also had to pay up front for the same reason. Got them in one working day (ordered on Friday, got them Monday afternoon).
