Hkc - external bell tamper

my alarm just went off outside., it’s saying ext bell tamper. How to I fix this? The alarm code won’t go in, it say, open tamper, ext bell tamper. How do I clear this? Thanks

The bell itself has a tamper switch, this could be corroded or the bell itself could have moved and opened the switch.

Only way of knowing it by opening the bell and having a look.

Rebel333, did you resolve this issue as I have it too?

I opened the bell box, and tamper looked ok, no corrosion, but it is still showing a Bell Tamper fault.

Any help appreciated.

It may be the cable going to the external bell.

Can you bell out the 2 core cables for the tamper?

Altor, thanks for comment, but there is no cable from Panel to Bell Box - it is a radio signal.

What does 'bell out' in your comment mean?

If its a wire free bell then there would be no cable.

The tamper spring/leaver is in the bell itself.

If you push it closed with lid off and have someone at the panel does the tamper close?

I'll try that when I can get someone to come to watch the panel while I'm at the bell-box.
