Skoda Superb

There's a new Skoda Superb iV coming out in the next few months. Claimed electric only range of at least 100km. Here's a link to someone getting 144km in city driving from the electric only. I must say it seems impressive and this hybrid battery that gets 100+km must be a game changer, also to be in new Tiguan, Kodiaq, Golf etc.

Battery is kept in boot, so some boot space is lost, however the hybrid models only come in estate version, so boot is still quite big despite losing lots of space to battery.

No price for this yet but I reckon the hybrid which also comes with a petrol 1.5 engine will cost around €55,000

Sounds impressive but €55K seems crazy. A new Superb seems to have jumped nearly €10K compared to the outgoing model. The Kodiaq has seen similar hefty price increases. Makes a new ID.4 look really cheap.

I agree, crazy expensive.
new electric models of all cars seem to be getting quite cheap, whereas skoda(a cheap Volkswagen) seem to be totally behind the times and all their cars now are overpriced. New epiq will be well priced but enyaq is crazy money.

Skoda isn’t a cheap VW anymore, the new Superb is everything the new Passat is and probably more.

The difference between petrol and PHEV is probably going to be €3,000 extra I’m hearing.

Did anyone make an enquiry about this car. I hear skoda have ads on the radio for it but still have no price online for it. Seems a bit odd.
Must say, it looks a smashing car.

I was interested in where this one landed as 99% of my driving would be well within this range for a week and I would have home & office charging available.

Slight concern that a hybrid is the worst of both worlds when it comes to maintenance and potential issues?

You are in the same boat as me so. Maintenance could be an issue I'd say, it's a nice car though. Nicer than most electric cars in my opinion and I'd like to take a break from ICE cars.
