Hive Thermostat on Range

Hi all, I've recently purchased my first house (still waiting on keys). There is an oil fired Stanley range in the kitchen which heats the rads. I want to install a Hive system or similar so I can control my heating remotely etc. Can anyone advise if the Hive system or similar can be used with a range?

Hive will just replace the existing time clock, so will turn on and off any system in place of the time clock.

The last diagram in the above post looks like it might work, but you'd need to verify that. I don't do anything with ranges so I've no experience with them.
