Help with payment rate

    Hello, I just wanted to ask why is it that weekly pay is taxed more then being paid 4 weekly?


    for example if someone gets 28,000 per year doing 40hrs a week then why does the tax calculator site state that monthly is 2333 and 538

    however 538 x 4 = 2152?


    Just want to know why monthly pay (4 weekly) works out as more then weekly pay
