Hello, I just wanted to ask why is it that weekly pay is taxed more then being paid 4 weekly? for example if someone gets 28,000 per year doing 40hrs a week then why does the tax calculator site state that monthly is 2333 and 538 however 538 x 4 = 2152? Just want to know why monthly pay (4 weekly) works out as more then…

Because there isnt 4 weeks in a month. On average there are 4,33 weeks in a month.

What tax calculator site are you using?

It's 583/4, but annually there are 52 weeks, so it's 538 per week.
