Humanitarian crisis in Dublin City. This is a disgrace. We are a rich country. It should not happen.

The amount of people sleeping in tents in Dublin City now is just terrible. The Government needs to act.

We are a rich country and this should not be happening. The people sleeping in these tents are now getting respiratory problems and Scabies.

What do you suggest the government do exactly?

Would you believe they should shut the gaping wide open doors in Dublin airport and stop accepting non Irish, non British, non EU and non visa holding people into the country ?

Or would you believe they should take over even more hotels in towns and villages throughout the country to house everyone?

PS we are not rich, we in debt up to our eyeballs, we have unsustainable spending and we are a downturn away from economic pneumonia that will make the austere times of 2011, 2012 look tame.

Okay, I'll bite. What do you suggest as a solution? Do we conjure up more accommodation? Do we refuse entry to more destitute people? Where do you see the additional funding coming from? And, have you seen the homeless people living in tents in so many other capital cities of the world?

As for us being rich; can you afford to have less in your pocket, or to have less services available to you, to fund any solution you may have?

How much of that is house price value?

How much of that is personal debt?

What percentage of the workforce are employed by the 10 companies and how many indirectly depend on those ten companies for business?

We are just like most other Western economies.

Struggling to house people.

For a while we were an attractive place to relocate too. Loads of great benefits, whether you worked or not.

Now it's all coming home to roost. We have more people than accommodation. The numbers coming here might slow once the word gets out that you'll likely end up on the street, but I doubt it.

I suggest they get pre built housing units maybe like the containers that have being turned into houses. Put loads of them up in fields. Ye I agree we can not keep letting g non national come to live here. Put not yet.
