Want to get the moss removed off my roof on a 2-storey terraced house. What's the rough ballpark price for this? About €100?

Not in a position to do this myself, so will hire someone.

How do you propose that this workman will reach the roof because its against health and safety legislation to use a ladder for a job like that. Therefore you will need to either erect scaffolding or hire a cherrypicker. It will cost you about 2,500 euro in total

Had some lads do it on my house.

600 euro, used ladders and a power hose.

A fair bit of it back after 3 years tho

Unless they had some sort of a wand end on a hose that pointed the pressure downwards, or they went to the apex and worked down, I would not let anyone on the roof with a power hose. Same with power-hose cleaning of guttering, they do more harm than good.

Hmm I didn't mention a power hose though?

    Good to know ball park

    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

@noodler mentioned a power hose was used in his €600 job.

100 quid will be the call out fee

TO get it done properly you will need cherry picker etc.

Plenty of lads going around with high power washers and doing more damage than good, it's a roof so don't cheap out. Repair costs will be a lot higher

    Is it tiles or slates?

got it done for €120... no hose required

But as I said, it was good to know the ballpark :)

I would not get my roof power washed or gutters, I heard that the concrete tiles have a factory coating on them that power washers damage??

What I did was loosen the moss with a scraper on a pole and used chlorax for the gutters with a sponge.

Clean the inside of the gutters every year.

Can you let us know what was done for this price and who did it

Taking moss off the roof tiles, just a local handyman in our area. Also offered to include spraying the roof tiles with anti-fungal spray (or something like that) in the price, but as I'm getting painting done I declined.

    Cash job.

Actually it's perfect. The moss will prob come back in a few years or so, but 120 each time is ok.
