Cheltenham Advice

Just looking for advice as heading to Cheltenham for Tuesday and Wednesday.

it’s a gift for the auld lad for Xmas.

i wouldn’t be a massive racing fan, only have a passing interest.

just wondering about the betting end of it as I don’t have an online account for betting and don’t want one either.

is it possible to make bets in a betting shop , like a paddy power in the town of Cheltenham the morning of. I know you can bet on course but id imagine queues are busy.

any tips would be welcome.

You can bet months in advance for races at Cheltenham, I have never been but I would assume Paddy Power will have a shop or two on-site. The ques may be long but will move quickly. Enjoy it, hope you get on a few winners.

If you know what you're backing for the day, not a bad idea to get in there in the morning and get bets on before heading to the track. It's not too bad getting a bet on in the bookies stalls at the track and tote is okay as long as it's not 5 mins before race jumps off.

Good man. Heading over the Tuesday and Wednesday myself.

No bother getting bets on at the track, there's a few Billy Hills shops and they are fairly well staffed. If you are buying pints, have your card handy, most bars are cash only at the track. The Vestey bar is a pretty good spot, central, roomy and you'll get served handy enough.

Long shot value on twitter was always good for a big priced outsider , however he's now imposed a pay wall , like they say if you're good at something don't do it for free !

William Hill have shops on course. Handy for Yankee, Lucky 15 bets, etc.
