Those snow ploughs would be needed 1 day per year perhaps. Vs Canada where they are used weekly I imagine.

I can picture the headline “government spends 18 million maintaining fleet of snow ploughs that have been used 4 times in the last 7 years”

Boxes of paper tissues, folded together in such a way that you have to scrabble your fingernails right in, looking for an edge to pull; and end up by pulling out a big bunch of tissues all clumped together.

Could all be solved by having a thin coloured line along the leading edge of each tissue.

The solution to yours is cut the laces to whatever length you want, and fit new aglets. You can buy aglets.

Toilet paper in public loos. All the thinnest possible cheapest industrial grade tissue that tears just by looking at it. Dispensers that either funnel it through a hole the size of a gnats bumhole only tear off in useless scraps or equally crap roll dispensers that you struggle to get two or three continuous sheets from before tearing.

They’re supposed to be used on clothes hangers to prevent a garment being stretched or going out of shape as the loops distribute the weight evenly.

Its quite possible that you can buy aglets, but I have never, ever seen any on sale. You would also need a specialised crimper to put them on. Much easier to tie a bow then a loose knot using the loops. Or buy some shorter laces.

Oh I know what they are for but trust me no one in the world hangs there pjs on hangers so not needed and certain not needed for cheap penny clothes that are usually worst offenders.

Every single thing I own with them has not gone out of shape been hung probably on a normal hanger.

Snow ploughs are a blade on front of a regular truck, you do not need a whole vehicle used only one day of the year, you need a the attachment on the vehicles.

It is entirely possible to buy aglets. And aglet crimpers would not exist if it was not possible to buy aglets.

Anyway that is two solutions to the shoelace problem. I don't think we will get the same success with trying to breed the inclination to unnecessarily press buttons at traffic lights out of the gene pool.

Some kind of better lid/latch system on wheelie bins, sick to the back teeth of neighbours letting their rubbish go flying any time there's a hint of a breeze, and it all blows down towards my door.

Reminds me of paper toilet tissue, years ago that you dont see anymore, it was literally paper, like greaseproof paper. Each piece was folded in a box.

They are not breaking any law. Two solutions. Take your trade elsewhere, or use a card. If neither of those are suitable for you, spend the ones and twos in Dunnes next time you go there.
