Car Valuation

Hi all,

Does anyone know anyone/any where the can do "recognised" car valuations?

Looking at similar cars in the UK they are going for mad money (which I don't think mine is worth) I'd love to get a recognised valuation of it's worth.

Related but not required, if I did get one, could I register that valuation with the insurance company?

While I have no experience of either, I think an owners club is a recognised source for valuations, and the insurance you're looking for is called "agreed value".

If it's done by a registered assessor, then absolutely (need to hold a licence from the Institute of Automotive Engineers and Assessors).

I was required by AXA to submit a valuation report for agreed value insurance, and got a report prepared by an Irish company (I think we can't name them in posts, but happy to share via DM). Not the cheapest thing to commission (400EUR+) but got accepted without a comment, and I got the agreed value I was asking for after AXA were sent a 96 page report (including pics).

Noel, the guy who did it on the day, spent several hours on the car, looking up, down, and sideways into everything, including paper work.
