Was the summer of 2007 a wet one?

I have a memory that the summer of 2007 was a wet one with rain almost every day - June- August. Ironically Rihanna’s song ‘Umbrella’ seemed to be everywhere that summer. Do the stats bear out this memory?

In fact, 2007-2012 inclusive were all terribly wet summers, though 2010 was a bit less wet.
Interestingly, it coincided with the recession.
