Kitchen Extractor Hood - Chimney

    Hi all

Does anyone have, from experience, a recommendation for a cooker extraction hood - that best manages cooking vapours/smells ?. We had a standard fitter-supplied wall-mounted one (vented outside) installed as part of a kitchen re-fit recently. While we can see some smoke+ being extracted outside - still the kitchen gets very smokey. Maybe I need something more powerful - just wondering what works for others. It's just a normal domestic kitchen - but open plan.

    Thanks, K

Check the extractor to see if it has a filter fitted, if so remove it, filter is for recirculating. Also check the pipe going to the outside for obstruction just Incase birds have started building, starlings are professionals at it.

I have the same problem with my new kitchen and it was discovered that the extractor was not even linked to anything to take the steam outside.
