Is there any indication as to when the current recruitment freeze is going to end? It’s getting fairly ridiculous now!

i haven’t gave it much thought but I was chosen for interview a few months ago. A friend of mine works there and advised me of the above. I find the pay scale in HsE seems to be lower to that of other public appointments which is concerning but also surprising as they are haemorrhaging cash.

Placed first on a panel ages ago but haven’t heard anything since. You don’t happen to know if it will be lifted for all posts or just some (like clinical)?

I’ve no idea. My field and friends field is ICT. The last correspondence was back in October and said the below.

“I am very pleased to inform you that your application has been deemed eligible to carry forward to the next stage.

What does this mean?

 

As outlined in the Campaign Documentation we will now be calling candidates forward to interview and will communicate the time, date and venue for your interview.“ 

it’s been radio silence ever since.

There is a proposal by the WRC and unions which has to be agreed upon by the HSE by the end of the month or else there will be industrial action, I work in the HSE so hopefully, fingers crossed this is mean the end of the freeze. Frustrating for people wanting to move within the HSE also

Would you happen to know if this proposal is between all unions for all sectors affected by the freeze or just between Forsa? I did hear of Forsa calling off industrial action after talks with the WRC. I’m wondering if it’s just for clerical/admin positions.

No I'm sorry I haven't. I do know some hospitals are still recruiting nursing staff I see them advertised. I do hope it ends for everyone soon as its causing a lot of chaos.
