What are people paying for Sky Broadband once the initial introductory offer is over ?

I'm just coming up to the end of my first year and currently on half price deal paying €30 a month so wondering what can I expect to pay from now on or will they offer me another deal to stay with them ?

    Tia

I don't know what sort of deal they are offering customers to stay - I was with them and my year's contract finished last month and it was to jump from €32 to €60.

I called them twice to talk about renewing with them but both times the waiting time to speak to someone was over 40 minutes so I decided instead to change to Pure Telecom at €35 per month.

Thanks for the reply - are Pure Telecom speeds as good as Sky ?

Did you price any other companies ?

Yes they are 500/50. Pure are the cheapest next to Sky, then its eir at €37.99 and then Vodafone at €40. Digiweb is €34.95 for 6 mts and then €49.95 making it the most expensive of the main suppliers

Quick update - best deal Sky would do was €45 a month going forward to renew.

Pre Telecom in my area is also €45 a month so I went with Vodafone for €35 a month for first 12 months and €40 after that.

I can always switch back to Sky in 12 months and get their €30 a month offer for new customers for the first 12 months again.

    Hope this helps others.

Sky offered me €40 a month , I was on €30. Didn’t seem bothered at all said I could transfer easily to another provider 🤣

He said NOT to give 30 day notice I’m leaving as it will cost to reconnect if I stay. But sure why would give a notice when your contracts up?

I could transfer EASILY to another provider

I'm not sure about that. If you want transfer to another provider you have to know your UAN number. Check your UAN number on the bill.

In August/ September my UAN starts SISK. After I cancelled in September UAN has changed to SISY. Vodafone couldn't switch last Saturday becouse wrong UAN. Today Vodafone send new modem on new UAN. I will see what happen when I got new modem.

Just came to the end of €30 per month 500mb contract. It was going to be €45 pm going forward. The best they could do was €40 pm. I umm'd and err'd a bit and then she says oh hold on you can get 1gb broadband contract for €35 for 12 months! Happy enough with that…

Strange that they gave you better broadband for cheaper.

When my €30 per month contract ended they wouldn't budge so I switched to Vodafone for €35 a month

Yes I thought it was slightly weird but jumped at it when she offered it. I confirmed a couple of times on the phone 'so €35 for 12 months yes??' Looks like I got the equivalent of a new customer offer…
