Booking holidays - Creative ideas

Hi All,

I am booking a holiday, two adults and a teenager, god help me.

I have been trawling through all the sites, TUI, budget, Love holidays etc. Do they all have different hotels or does anyone have anything to recommend?

My SIL who books frequently said book through a different country, not sure how that works.

Anyone any creative ideas to get a better or cheaper deal on holidays?

We fly from Belfast and use JET2, Yeah its a 90min drive but opens up a LOAD of options with Jet2 and Easyjet holidays

We're heading to Tenerife for 10 nights, 2 adults and 2 kids, Half Board, includes 23kg luggage each in a great hotel costs us 2,100Sterling

EXACT same hotel, dates, board and luggage with loveholidays from Dublin is 3,500Euro

Plenty of free kids places too with Jet2 and Easyjet

Probably a lot depends on what you and the family want.

I've used TUI a few times and got great bargains with them. Sometimes, I ring their office and get better options than from their website. For some holidays I couldn't do it cheaper by booking direct myself.

Shop around, look at what's on offer, what you want and then check doing it yourself and see what works best.

My dates can usually be flexible so that may help in getting better prices.
