Just wondering if you need an import permit to import certain firearms parts. More specifically I am looking at getting a new bolt release for my 15-22 from the US. Do I need an import permit or am I ok? I don't believe that the bolt release is a critical part of my firearm, as it should fire and cycle without it, however…

Just wondering if you need an import permit to import certain firearms parts. More specifically I am looking at getting a new bolt release for my 15-22 from the US. Do I need an import permit or am I ok? I don't believe that the bolt release is a critical part of my firearm, as it should fire and cycle without it, however I'd rather be safe than sorry. Not a "component part" so importing it here is no issue.
Assuming you can get a seller in the US so export it, most tend to not want the hassle of exporting anything firearms parts wise.

Never forget, the end goal is zero firearms of any type.

Perfect, I've talked to the manufacturer and he'll export so no problem there.
