All mobile companies have a similar max download speed. Something to do with regulations. It’s really meaningless

48.ie is a better deal as you get any network texts included unlike this plan.

I was with them from. 2020 until 2023 and the data speeds just got worse and worse to unusable at times. I have a Vodafone mobile here and gets far better speeds so PM is getting a raw deal overall. Moved to gomo and wouldn't move back.

PS no texts included.

Two quid more per month but Clear have been excellent for me. Unlimited everything, the only limit is a 5mb/s 4G download speed. That's plenty for streaming a film at 1080p (maybe not 1080p-60fps). Never have to think about how much data, texts, or minutes remaining.

Unlimited = a powerful word except in Ireland and a few other 'selected' countries ( here there's a limit in everything , including the Comm's Regulator ability to protect the consumer, unless EU Regulator decides for all EU territories)

they're a few Gotcha's in the telecom business that could be avoided if you read the small print and do the maths:

• monthly bill VS top up/bill every 4 weeks
• 'for life' subs VS bill pay with yearly April CPI increase
• Roaming settings/partner networks abroad : inherited from parent network ( Clear/Vodafone - Gomo/Eir) VS best effort ( all MVNO's )

I think speeds have improved. I keep an Anpost PAYG SIM alive and the last time I had some Data credit (Oct'23) I found it better than previously.

Haven't had a problem with ours. I think 48 is a better deal.

If your travelling a lot that roaming makes a difference this an post plan is too limited.

Had lots of problems with this when I was on an post.

As others have said the days of limits between networks is gone.

There's still the odd text you'd send to elderly relative or someone you just don't want to connect with on whatsapp so they should be included in some small manner. Is it still 31 days if you auto top up?

Glad to hear the data speeds have recovered but be warned, vodafone were switching off some 3G masts and this 4G only
