Best pubs near St.Stephen Green

Looking for 5 ish pubs within walking distance of stephen green.
Maybe a mix of something small, traditional, modern funky, posh, local, music never a bad thing.
Midweek night, not to quiet nothing hectic. Whats your 5 pint pub crawl?

Sinnotts has a good reputation, never been though.
"The Bar" is next door to the shopping center. I ended up here for a match when Sinnotts was full. Decent enough.

Just start on Merrion Row and move down along Baggot St and see how far you get! Or if you want to start posh, start at The Shebourne and move down Merrion Row and onto Baggot St.

Nah, no real trad pubs but they'll all have music in the background. If you stick around that general location there are loads of bars. You'll be fine.

Its a building site and has been for four years.

Trad is rare on the southside and often touristy cack in Temple Bar. Decent trad sessions are Northside - Cobblestone, Pipers Corner.

The Swan Bar on York St does a lovely pint of Guinness and has trad music on certain days of the week.

Sinnotts is not.
There was a bar called The Bar, run by Slatterys of Capel Street, in the old TGI Friday basement unit around the corner. Its gone.

I'll give you two routes!

First heading down Merrion Row:
Dawson Lounge (smallest pub in Dublin)
Horseshoe Bar in The Shelbourne hotel (fancy surrounds)
McGratten's (large bar, food and pool tables)
Toner's (old bar with snugs, large beer garden too)
O'Donoghue's (possibly a trad session here)

Second option off Grafton St:
Grogan's (pint & toastie)
P Mac's (craft beer)
Long Hall (old victorian bar, good pint)
O'Regan's (new bar, looks nice and has live jazz on a Tuesday)
Bar with no Name

Bowe's on Fleet St used to have trad sessions some days, not sure if they still do. They do have an excellent selection of whiskey though.

Yes. It was always a temporary lease, the physical space is going away when the shopping centre refurb starts
When a pub that posts basically every day stops, it's usually not a good sign anyway.
