I don't really have an issue with same BUT I did get a hair cut in a place in Douglas in Cork which we call 'Lads'

The reason we call it 'Lads' is because one of the lady barbers/hair cutters there calls everyone 'Lads' even if you are the only one in the room.

Anyhow to get to the point, they did hire a turkish barber and little did I know that it was his first day.

I went into 'Lads' to get a normal haircut and when he had finished he lit a taper and blew it into my ears with the stunned lady barbers looking on.

Now I smelled the singe of burning hair so I guess he must have got some and to be honest it was an 'OK experience' to get my 'not known about' ear hair removed.

OK when I went back to 'Lads' he was gone - I didn't ask but maybe he was setting too may fires ?!

Yeah, I've had the Turkish dude with taper thing too but that's not what I'm looking for thanks. :)

Can't remember where I seen this but the way it was done, cotton bud dipped in melted wax inserted slightly into ear, wax started to harden and when ready earbud yanked out with hairs attached. Could of seen on a uk programme

Arse to that, buy a good tweezers.

You'll pay some bird 30 quid to do it and they'll be growing back within the week.

Not a gentleman but I know Wax in the City do men's waxing and ears are on their list of services. They are in Sth William Street, Liffey Street and Stillorgan.
