    Hi

Have cleared out a shed with a view to converting it and have come upon an old gas bottle/ canister,, the type that used to be connected to a gas fire.

Where would you dispose of such an item?

    Thanks

just drop it off with someone that sells them or give it away on adverts.

    GivE it to someone.

it’s probably worth €30, if you go for gas without an empty you have to pay an extra €30

Stick it up on local FB selling page, I'd buy one of those for 15 if I got it which seems to be usual price secondhand, there is never any local to me! Very handy to have a second one.
