Has anyone had this issue: cervix cannot be viewed by doctor

I’m aged 62, have MS, and was ordered to have a HPV test before attempting treatment as it is immune suppressive and would provoke a virus into becoming more aggressive. About 4/5 months ago I tested positive for HPV variant 16, one of the two most carcinogenic ones.

i retested recently and got the result that the virus is still detected and one way or another I’m in danger of developing cervical cancer, vet much so at my age and because my immune system is out of kilter.

Because I underwent panproctocolectomy with end ileostomy, my uterus is now retroverted and adhering to my spine. It would require a highly specialised surgeon to remove it and I was told I’d likely end up in ICU because of internal bleeding.

Hospital attempted a hysteroscopy in September but ended up perforating my uterus, with resulting peritonitis, and then peptic ulceration due to stress. They can not visualise my cervix, colposcopy to monitor cervix is not possible.

A specialised surgeon I saw privately told me that he could do the surgery if needed, but warned about it being very complex as it involves my spine, would be a long surgery, big transfusion requirements.

I know it’s a long shot, but has anyone here been in this dilemma and how did they get on?
