Why did I receive a jury summons at my old address (parents’ house) despite being registered ….

to vote in my new house for the past several months when I amended my address on the register.

I double checked and I am registered at my new polling station 100% but still received my summons at my parents’ address.

I'm registered to vote at my parents house and my own house. I have 2 votes. And I use them both! Different counties

Also got called for jury duty in both counties. In 2007 in my home county and in 2017 where I live now

Does he he still gets poling cards there? If you don't remove yourself from the electoral register then you're liable to be called for jury duty.

I alos receive two polling cards, but have never used both. But it is convenient as nit sure where I’ll be in a given election. Is this equally as bad?

So you don't have a problem with someone calling the small claims procedure a small claims court but you do have a problem with people saying jury duty instead of Dury service?

Public sector is useless that’s why. Same happened to me and I also get several polling cards (which I don’t use) despite multiple attempts to get them to address it. They don’t like to do any work, nor have they the intelligence to do it.

Don't know if it's still the case,but in the past, the electoral register was published once a year, around April.

If that's still the case, then the courts service are using last year's list which might not include your address change.

It's now a requirement to provide your ppsn for the electoral register, I suspect it'll be used to clean up the lists and avoid double listings.
