There's no wall or fence dividing our driveways - there used to be (before I lived here) so the division is clear in the concrete - but there's no actual barrier.

Don't think anything blocking the entry would make much difference.

So they are entering your driveway from their own?

Flower pots, lots and lots of flower pots.

It would absolutely drive me insane if my neighbours did that.

By the sounds of them, they would just kick the flower pots out of the way.

    That's not on in fairness.

Why didn’t you park outside your friends house that you were visiting, instead of his neighbours?

Perfect example of a good time to tell someone to cop an and f*** off.

Sorry long time lurker but rare poster so can't quote properly from earlier post.....

""Next thing I hear a woman's voice saying "hello!". I half roll out from under the car, covered in dirt and look up to see a woman with a bundle of Social Democrat leaflets in her hand.

"Hi, I just wanted to drop one of these in to your house".

She's standing in my driveway. I'm under a car, wet, cold, covered in muck, surrounded by tools, parts and torches. My front door is 8 steps away. It has a letterbox - specifically designed for such things to be inserted into. Why on earth is she even considering that it's appropriate to engage me in conversation at this time, in this situation, for this purpose""

You can get big plastic ones fairly cheaply in the likes of dealz or Mr price once filled they won't be kicked anywhere.

could you not install them in front and at the sides of your driveway?

Yeah, I suppose I could. Probably can't afford to though, or would have more pressing uses for the money. The drive extends along the whole side of the house so it would take a fair few to block it off. Ideally I would like a wall and that's the plan eventually when I have the funds. For now other work on the house has to take priority. I can live with annoyance in the meantime, and just hope family arriving with cars don't cause a major incident!

The longer you allow that to persist the harder it will be to resolve it

I wonder what would happen if some of them fell getting out of their car on your drive? they could probably sue you. she didnt have her drive salted your honor, I slipped on the ice and broke my arm on her drive.

People parking outside your house is an absolute pain in the bollocks.

Im not sure whats wrong with drivers in this country. I like to think I am a responsible driver. I respect the laws and other road users. Most drivers in this country seem to either be ignorant or/and dont care once they plonk into a drivers seat. What is the deal with people and bus lanes? There is a bus lane on the Dublin road in limerick and you will often see 100 plus cars queueing in it to stop at traffic lights. One person enters it and the others follow, Often leaving the car lane empty, Also just because i am turning and have my indicator on i can use the bus lane??.We are a country of sheep. I was at my local Lidl lately and a shopper gave out to me for driving the right way around the one way system proclaiming I am ignorant because I am the only one who obeys the system. Dont start me on the Parent and child seat spots..
