Looking for a printer that has a cable connection

My last printer was a HP 5000 and it was a nightmare. I could connect it by cable but all it wanted to do was order ink. It took a few people to get it working. Can anyone recommend a simple plug and use scanner/printer preferably with out a wireless connection.
