Have a 10kg limit carryon with Ryanair, am I allowed a handbag as well?

Will be flying to Poland with Ryanair. I have a 10kg carryon limit. No checked luggage.

Am I allowed a handbag as well as the carryon?

If not, would I be allowed a bumbag to hold the passports and phones and wallets as I move around the airport?

Yes. You are allowed a small bag that will fit under the seat in front of you.

A handbag or laptop bag would be allowed, along with your 10kg bag.

Incorrect information.

If you have purchased a 10kg carry on bag you may also bring a small bag such as handbag or laptop bag.

It is NOT dependent on you taking priority boarding.

The last time I flew Ryanair where I needed to bring a cabin bag you had to book a class of ticket that Ryanair referred to as priority to do so. The ticket class allowed for 2 bags, including one of up to 10 KGS, in the cabin and priority boarding. They seem to be calling priority regular now on their website. Call it what you want. The original post never outlined what type of ticket was booked. The booking email should outline what's included in terms of luggage.

I actually don't really know the flight details. The Mr booked. I think it would be a fairly basic pack or allowance.

He's saying it's a 10kg carry on limit and I won't see the fine print til I fly.

I am wondering if I will be able to bring a handbag. The Mr can travel using his pockets. I need a handbag or a bumbag for my bits.

Look at the booking email. It should state on it what baggage is included.

Log into the Ryanair account that was used to book the tickets. Booking details should be there. Or get the person who booked the tickets to forward the booking email to you so you can see for yourself what it says.

Looking at the Ryanair website even if you book the baisic fare which is a small bag and go on to add a 10kg bag later in the booking you still can take a small bag 40 x 40 x 25cm too. Enjoy your trip.

Every passenger can bring a small bag. Eg handbag, laptop bag.

If you have purchased a 10kg carry-on bag , this is in ADDITION to the small bag entitlement.

There is no requirement to purchase priority boarding.

You can select "10kg + priority boarding" or select the lowest fare and add the 10kg carry-on bag at a further step.

Usually about €10 cheaper per segment - but no priority boarding.

I buy the 10kg cabin bag quite often and every time it came with priority boarding included. So I don't know if you can buy it without also getting priority, but if you can you have to go through some extra non obvious steps.

Nope, you can add a 10kg on its own. You were hoodwinked into purchasing a seat and priority to do so. Just select the basic non priority fare, and you can add the 10kg bag on its own later in the process for cheaper.

True and it is cheaper but don't you still join the priority queue at the gate if you purchase a bag after the initial booking? I think the priority queue just has people that paid to bring a bag larger than a school bag on board. I don't think it bestows any early boarding benefit like it used to before Ryanair started charging people to bring bags into the cabin.

Flip side of that one is that there is often no overhead luggage space once the priority holders have completed boarding.

The dimensions for the small bag are quite large, up to a laptop sized bag, how big is your handbag
