    Still nothing here either.

    My fiance and I both had our phones delivered same day. She got her trade in pack on Wednesday, I haven't got anything.

    I went with the broken/any phone for 250 and I still have no return bag.

    Quick one as I've never had the problem with the S22 or S23, So used smart switch last night and it brought over everything from the S23.Just my outlook e mail account shows the e mails received prior to me transferring them to the S24 but when I click to open them there is no content just the senders e mail address.

    What happens when you sync the account again? Smart sync brought across my Hotmail account, but I had to manually add my work exchange account again.

    I pre-ordered the Samsung S24 Ultra at the Vodafone shop. Got the phone and want the watch, but the claim was declined because: "Unfortunately, the store you have purchased your device from is not a participating retailer on this promotion." On receipt there is no Vodafone name anywhere, just Kings communication. Tried to call Samsung number +3531800777756 on different days, but it's not even connecting. Shop said other customers haven't got problems claiming products. I won't get the watch?!

    Did you fill out the Contact us page? Looks like even King Communications is listed on the participating retailer so fill out that form at the very least, or even try Samsung chat on the Samsung website.

    That number doesnt look like it should have 353 in front of it. Its either some sort of low rate number or a UK number. Did Vodafone advertise the watch promotion? If so get back to them and put pressure on them to sort it.

    On the watch thing has anyone seen a shipping notification on the site who put in a claim last week. Mines approved 4 days but still saying it might be mid March before I see it.

    They're not going to send out watches when it's possible you'll return your phone. It'll be after that window closes I'd say.

    Even before claim I filled that contact page because I was worried Vodafone not being mentioned anywhere on receipt, but still haven't received response after 2.5 weeks :) I have new claim made and will call them on Monday. Thank you guys

    I have not received the packaging in order to return the trade in handset over the past 7 days.


    Assuming they don't have a leg to stand on if its late sent back?

    I emailed them a couple of days ago and they said they'd send out the envelop anytime up to a week after you get the phone so I'd imagine the timer starts then. I'll bring em to the small claims if they mess around and charge me but I assume it'll all work itself out.

    They wont take legal proceedings for worthless broken devices. They are losing money as it is by taking them in. The cost of admin, the envelopes, leaflets, shipping bags and return An Post labels etc.

    Broken phones/earphones/tablets just get recycled by them. Point was they wont take legal proceedings against someone who fails to trade in a broken device, its not worth it for them.

    They won't but probably be blacklisted for future trades/phones.

    Trying to keep the Samsung keyboard as can imagine the AI rewrite is handy at times, is there any voice typing ? Im using S24

    Yeah it's bottom left of the keyboard. Gave it a quick test there it wasn't very accurate.


    On the return envelope situation, I'm still waiting for mine, it's over a week since the phone came. Not worried about it, it'll turn up at some stage!

    Mine didn't come after a week and I sent them an email on Wednesday. Got response below Friday (the envelope arrived Thursday)

    Dear customer,

    Thanks for your email. We are currently working our way through the S24 launch and are sending labels out as quickly as possible so that you can return your trade-in device. You should receive this in the next 5-7 business days. We are aware this is outside the 7 day window. Please rest assured you will not penalized for this delay.     It will be below the keyboard, where the navigation bar would be.

    I use Google Voice typing, but really miss the automatic punctuation from my Pixel. I thought that the Samsung Voice typing would have punctuation, but it seems not?

    Edit: Actually, now I'm testing the voice to text using the Samsung keyboard and it seems that it does in punctuation. But the only problem is that it's terrible it understanding what I say most of the time.

    Huge difference in price though,

    I’ve a 14 pro max and may go for the 8 pro

    had the 7 pro


    pixels are nice but when I go to trade them in they’re not worth a lot

    Just on the trade in packs, just found out a friend ordered a phone in December and till date has not received the trade in email/pack. It was also a broken device trade in.

    The MP4 recordings from the phone seem to have a different codec thus needing to purchase 'video extensions' if you're a user of 'Films & TV' player

    I wonder what's the point of samsung paying for/ time involved for people to give them their broken phones.


     Surely they are losing money with such a offer

    All devices have some value. It balances itself out. But yes Samsung would have done the maths on sales estimates and the offers across the board. Hence why they time box things and also change trade in vales on a whim.
