Any thoughts on the post race altercation? When interviewed after the race Patrick said something along the lines of....there will be a gap on my inside after the second last do not go up it. Does Patrick have the right to lay out such a condition before the race on two horses owned by two different owners who pay the bills.

My own thoughts were the gap was there and Danny had every right to exploit it. Patrick was out of order between the last two fences in my opinion.

    Thoughts?

Was it not a safety concern rather than him trying to prevent the horse beating him?

The only danger was Patrick forcing Danny's horse out through the wings of the last fence

Two jockeys riding for different owners think both should get the best placing they can for their horse if possible .The gap looked OK and game on to go for it .To me it would be worse if the race was treated like a formula one race where one can be told slow down and let the other by .

That's essentially the instruction one jockey gave to another jockey prior to the race. Interesting glimpse inside the Mullins machine.
