Insurance on a 20 year old car, most companies wont insure

Hey lads, have a 2003 520i. A lot of companies wont quote, AXA will , quote not too bad. Are you guys familiar with any other companies, that would quote? Thanks!

Try AnPost insurance.ie. i am in the same boat but got €520 online last week from them.

Aviva or Liberty directly should be able to quote. We have quite a number of people with older cars insured with them albeit historic policies that would have been with them for years. Will be slightly harder to get a decent quote for a new policy.

They now ask how long you have had the car presumably to weed out risky and accident prone drivers, who recently bought an oldish car and then were very unlucky to get into an accident with 5 people onboard, all of whom suffered from sore necks.

And they only took out 3rd party cover. It's a strange world where you can get cheaper quotes for fully comprehensive cover than 3rd party only.

general day to day. axa quoting 700, it would have been E500 in june if i let it continue with zurich, but as i knew i wouldnt be driving for at least six months, i let it lapse. FBD getting back to me tomorro. just got quote for aviva E470 for comp, thats that done. Thanks lads :)
