Phoenix Park Laps

Just looking for some advice please. I'll be back in Dublin over Christmas and NY and want to keep up my mileage. I'll have reasonably easy access to Phoenix Park so was thinking of using it for morning training. Is there a route that someone could recommend that would help me avoid the worst of the traffic or should I avoid the Park altogether?

As long as there is nothing on in Farmleigh, traffic is generally fine. Most of the cars in the park are going straight to/from the castleknock gate to the heuston gate, and chesterfield avenue now has a segregated cycle lane. The loop of the park itself is fine, apart from some speed bumps on the north road

There's a decent section of the south road which is closed to motorised traffic anyway, so would be quiet regardless.

I don't think you're allowed cycle in public with a shirt and no shorts...

If you get bored with repeated full circuits, as I did during the Covid restrictions, you can add in a series of loops up to the main road (Chesterfield Avenue) and back down again to the perimeter. Eventually you end up cycling every road in the Park.
