I am with the AA for insurance. and need to do a temporary transfer of insurance to another car today for 48 hours rang the number and seems only breakdown is open, no customer service any other way around this? or am I snookered

Generally the only insurance services open at weekends are for breakdown/accident emergencies or claims which tend to be farmed out to call centres. Most other admin services are only available normal business hours Mon - Fri. Some insurance companies give customers the ability to do temp transfers online alright but not all of them.
