It works even if you have an account and had a free trial previously.

I just added it to my account. I had to approve twice in my Bank of Ireland app for some reason but you don't get charged so all good.

For anyone who likes good sci-fi, I can't recommend enough For All Mankind and Foundation on Apple TV. Foundation is particular is incredible, a high-fantasy sci-fi that looks incredibly cinematic despite a relatively low budget.

It booted me into a screen about trying to open itunes and needing Mac OS to continue after the bank verification but I clicked the offer again and it seems to have gone through the second time (in case anyone else hits this).

Thanks OP, worked a treat on an account I previously had a trial with. Had to unlock my Apple ID (don't have any apple devices) probably as account was dormant for so long but no issues after unlocking.

I cancelled my sub as the price jump from 6.99 to 9.99 was just too steep. Expired yesterday, and this has worked perfectly, just need to get to the last episodes of Slow Horses and For All Mankind ;)
