Price increases?

Anyone know what is happening with the online ticket price increases because I can't find any information online? The single trip online low fare on my Rosslear-Dublin line was just over 7 eur. Then this month the price increased to over 9 eur and the same ticket will cost 11 eur in Jan 2024. Are they phasing out the special low fares the gov made such a fuss about when they were launched?

Online fares are discounted compared to the regulated fares - it is up to the railway company what discount they apply.

The regulated fares which are set by the NTA, are the fares that you can purchase from the booking office or ticket machines and these are unchanged, and the 20% discount introduced in 2022 still applies.

Between Dublin and Wexford, the regulated fares are single EUR 23.65, day return EUR 25.95 and a monthly return EUR 30.40.
