    Hi All,

I am building a lean too on the back of the house and need to extend out the flue.

Very old boiler but I don't have the money to replace until next year.

Any ideas on how it can be extended until I get the money together for a new boiler,.

    Thanks

Yes, an RGI can make the assessment as to whether and where the flue can be extended and then complete it as required. There isn't an option of DIYing this I'm afraid, it's critical for the health of anybody living in the house that the flue is vented properly.

If you don't mind me commenting... I'd also add a carbon monoxide detector at the extension point (isn't that mandatory now?). One of those fellas on YouTube, Skillbuilder maybe, had an story about some place he saw with a flue extension under a floor. Botched of course. Flue gasses seeping out under the kids' bedrooms. I've always remembered that one. Ugh...
