Hi

I recently got my home charger installed (I'm new to EV)

I was just wondering what would be the cost if I charged my car for 5 hours at a speed rate 6.2.

my electric rate at the moment is 41.99 c/kWh.. this rate is a 24-hour rate and I have an old meter, not a smart meter.

Could someone let me know what the cost would be for 5 hours, please?

6.2 kW for 5 hours is 31kWh (6.2 x 5)

31 kWh at 41.99c per kWh is €13.02 (31 x 0.4199)

6.2kw charging will give you 6.2kwh in 1 hour

6.2x5= 31 kWh.

31x41.99= €13 give or take. Ignoring charger loses, cable loses etc

Can you look into a night rate plan?

You should be able to get the charging cost down to €4.50 over night.

I am currently on the phone to them now (still on hold) to see what the best rate I can get of board Gais.
