I paid a deposit on a house recently but got gazumed during the week. I had been on the lookout for over a year so I'm gutted to be honest. I cashed in my investments in anticipation of paying for the house and they are now sitting in my current account. I created a lightyear account which has a 3.25% rate but that's only secured up to a certain amount. What other options exist? I have a Raisen account but the shortest term there is 3 months. I wish to have my money available should another house come along but who knows when that will be.
