Lots in media today about a recruitment freeze in HSE

folf are say it they have been offered positions and accepted them. They have not signed a contract as there were further steps such as references to check.

given the HSE now have a recruitmrntfreeze in place and they say “ Any offers made and not formally accepted, or where a contract has not issued should now be withdrawn”. Does this mean that even though there is offer and acceptance has n place, they are not go ahead? Or looking at the wording, does it mean the if an offer has been formally accepted will they proceed?

This reads as 'or' not 'and' as such offer made and formally accepted will proceed.

Or/and is very confusing at times. A family member is caught up in this and left hanging m. Clearer communication is appreciated

I wasn’t sure what it meant either! I’m caught up in it myself at the moment. Communication from HSE HR hasn’t been very good. Was hoping unions would announce strikes following the news but it seems to be all quiet since last Friday

perhaps it is all just posturing from the HSE. Their language is so vague always.
