Gun licence application Ireland

    Hi all,

I recently applied for a firearm licence in Ireland (sent in my FCA1 form to my local garda station). I bought a safe because you need to have one for your rifle, what I'm wondering is do I need to install it now or can I wait until a garda tells me I will get the licence upon inspecting the safe. I ask this because the safe cost €250 and if my licence is rejected and I have taken the safe out of the box and installed it then I'll be down €250 for no reason. Has anyone got any expertise with this?

    Thanks!
