They had 3 different sections in Marlay Park for Def Leppard/Crue last July

Not sure was it even enforced due to the smaller numbers than anticipated

Didn’t know that, thanks! Wasn’t there for every Marlay Park gig last year though, Arctic Monkeys definitely didn’t have it and I’m fairly positive Dermott Kennedy didn’t either. Wasn’t a thing at all in 2022. Proper money grab that

Yeah wasn't there for the start of the sale but then suddenly appeared closer to the gig

Was a massive Green Day fan back in my school/Uni days which would have been 'Kerplunk' through to 'Warning'. Real highlight getting to see them in the SFX for their Nimrod tour in 97 (one of my top 3 gigs of all time). Fell out of love with them a bit after '21st Century Breakdown'....so haven't gone to see them since 2010 in Marlay.

Really considering getting tickets for this one as my kids (7 & 9) like them now.....and seeing as it's the anniversary of Dookie!

I take it the higher seat prices are better seats? Only been to Wembley once and that was but as part of a package so no Ticketmaster. Have to say it’s a cracking venue. Brought my daughter to see Blur there last year and hoping to go to this as well.

I mean if I liked Green Day enough it makes zero sense 130 quid on that is mad when you could see them on a much better bill in Austria no extra charge or hassle to get close if wanted and get also get another 3 days of music for just like 100 quid more.

Food and drink is cheaper there than Marlay Park. You can camp and it's included in the ticket price.

A lot of people would need to book time off work unless you are Dublin centric. Can I get your recommendation of nice budget accommodation in Dublin please?

Exactly this. I'm 27, American Idiot was my first Album when I was 8, and exactly Know Your Enemy was huge in schools when it came out in 2009, as was 21 guns.

I was 20 and in college when American Idiot came out. I thought most people that were going were going to be late 30s and up. Nice to see the young people out in force for Green Day.
