A Wake of Buzzards?

Took a stroll at lunchtime around Grange Castle (W. Dublin) and at one point I could hear the mewing of a buzzard up high. When I looked up, I could count at least nine of them circling above. I've seen plenty of buzzards around here but never this many at the same time. Is this unusual behaviour for them?

Yes - its known as a "kettle". As BOP's go they are quiet social that way. Kites would be similar
