Gate Hanging Calf Creep Feeder

Hi Lads do any of use have any of these gate hanging feeders, was looking at Condron and gibney they both seem the similar. The JFC plastic ones answer but was thinking these might be too light. Would these be strong enough for light weanlings or would they break them?

Go with Gibney / Condon. Use 1 here, can take abuse (scratching etc)

Would they be ok for 200kg weanlings or would they be too strong for it?

I find they pull out the nuts when they get strong over there head size, with the jfc one anyway, no problems with the creep feeder that way

Should be no problem. We sold bull weanlings up to 400kg in the spring that used it over the winter. There was 8 in the pen, throw in a bucket of nuts & head off, they’d bully to get their place. Done no damage apart from a few tears in the flaps. I put a board at the back in the bin to stop any nuts been left behind

Change the level of the opening and maybe scoop the trough every once in a while of any old stuff

That’s good and what make is your one?? 4ft wide is it. Did you ad-lib feed them bulls ? Or just a bucket a day?

I think it’s a condon, there’s no markings on it. I gave 1 bucket morning & evening. I found it easier to mind the feeder rather than a trough

The plastic jfc one dosent have any level, it's one with the plastic flaps on front, great feeder but for smaller stock ,
