Fogging Oil

Not in relation to outboard engines where I believe its used for storage protection but more a question for someone that's used it and has seen how it works.

I have a lot of iron tools in waterproof storage boxes. I currently add generous squirt of WD40 every time I close a box up and that seems to help reduce corrosion.

Question is would a quick squirt of Fogging Oil in the tool box before sealing it up do a better job?

I'm asking because the stuff seems expensive, if it wasn't I'd just try it and see.

Wake me up when it's all over.
