Hi, I'm trying to get my honda fit japanese import serviced. Honda service in Limerick, Galway and Ennistymon say they've got no software to read it. My own mechanic changed a couple of things but we still need to reset it. Can you recommend someone who can reset the computer? At this stage anywhere in Ireland will do

Honda should have the software to do it, maybe go to your local indy garage and see if they can help out.

Doesn’t sound like your getting it serviced. A service is just a basic oil and oil filter etc.

What exactly is wrong with the car?

Sounds like the service is done but they can't reset the "Service Required" notification without plugging the car into diags.

All Honda garages have the software to service and repair Jap Imports - its the exact same software used for European models so they are basically bullshitting you.

The problem is that a lot of them flatly refuse to do it just in case something goes wrong and theres no parts available.

I never did and have quite a large customer base of jap import customers for servicing.

What did your mechanic do that needs "resetting" - theres really nothing on a Honda fit that needs resetting. If its a service light it can be done through the dash with google translate in picture mode. If its a gearbox oil change (mmf) it can also be rest through the dash. Other than that theres no real resetting on the Fit.
