Getting out of contract early to swtich to fibre

    Hello,

After years of delays, NBI has switched on fibre for me a little earlier than last projected. I've now got one year to go on a 2 year contract with Three 5G.

To be honest, I'm happy with Three 5G as it's amazing compared to the 4G struggle I had for so many years but just wondering if anyone knows of fibre providers willing to help transfer without cancellation fees? I'm assuming the answer is no and I'm ok with that. Just asking to tick the box really.

    thanks for reading.

Eir and Vodafone used to allow you swap from mobile broadband to FTTC/FTTH when it became available but I doubt Three will allow you do this as Three only offer FTTH to business customers and not residential.

You might be able to upgrade your package to a new contract without cancellation penalty as Three is a NBI reseller.

Three don't resell to consumers - they only do business broadband packages and they ain't the cheapest

Strange that on a consumer grade wholesale network

Three won't allow it if it doesn't benefit them. They would if they would be offering Fibre. Call Three, get the number how much would be the penalty.

Call providers like Eir, VF, Sky. Sometimes for the sake of the sale they would be willing to cover your termination fee. If sales agent will make you the offer, make sure they send you an email confirming they are willing to cover X amount of your current provider termination fee otherwise you are screwed after the cooling off period passes if they start saying they never offered it.
