Hi lads. 2015 fiat doblo van with the 1.3 multijet engine. Everywhere online is telling me that it's chain driven.

I'm seeing a belt on the side of the engine. Is this the timing belt?

Nope, that's the aux belt as it's not notched. A timing belt will look like this:

A timing chain will be oily and look like a bike chain!

That is your 'accessory belt'. It is driven by the engine which is turn drives the accessories such as alternator, water pump power steering hydraulic pump (if you have one) etc. The timing belt or chain is internal to the engine and you can't see it.
