Fertilizer register

I recorded my stock on fertiliser register this evening.

Small quality of 2 products.

Added first no problem

Clicked the + tab unhoped second table and added the second product and quantity no problem

Clicked submit

But now only the first product shows in my stock.

What did I do wrong?

How do I now rectify this when it won't let me edit?

Ignore it.

Could be a software glitch - public sector software is usually unstable at the best of times. Especially when it’s new.

I went on to register a few nights ago and was already registered. Does it happen automatically or what?

If I do this what's the plan to explain the 2 extra pallets of a white granular substance sitting beside the fertiliser I have declared when the question is asked in my inspection?

The way I see the laws in the country ATM I'd probably get lesser penelty if I say to the inspector it's cocaine not urea.

Email the department and explain the issue. That way you've documented evidence you tried to do something about it.

Why could they not have applied nil or zero to everyone as a starting point and if above nil you need to update. I didn't bother logging on. No fertiliser stock here like most people. No doubt a letter in the post is on the way. I posted the following in Bord Bia inspection thread, it fits in well here. It may appear in future threads.

Start calling the inspector a far right wing bigot. Tell him the pallet of "stuff" are non binery and don't identify as fertilizer only as stuff

Yes. It's the only way non derogation farmers will be known how much is spread in the year.

At the ploughing car park exit was a tillage farmer's yard with over 100 ton in yard. They could buy fresh stuff for years and still be spreading more than the allowance. It's why the condition was to declare closing stock this year. And it will be there every year. As the years go on it'll be refined further to have digital records when and how much was spread and which fields. Pasture base has the option of this already. That'll roll out eventually for all.

Anecdotally, talking to people around the area plenty appear to have stocked up in advance of the register to give them some "off the books" fertiliser. Think it will suit people in some of the acres schemes for instance that limits how much you are supposed to spread but who knows might just be pub talk too.

Click the 3 dots beside the year, go down to closing stock and tick the no stock box.

Has anyone tried to register Growmax lime on the register? I'm struggling.

I can not see it as an option and it is not really mined limestone.

Advisor sent out a letter a few weeks ago, €50 to register. Think it took me 3 or 4 clicks at €0.

A lot of the advisors round here have everyone done and signed up no charge for it but no consultation either on if you wished to be registered or not

You would think that any advisor who registered someone would have to have cone back to you as to what closing inventories to put in.

TBH, it does seem like a very simple straightforward system from here on. Just know your allowance and don't go over it. No more returns to be made at end of year.

You don't have to sign up if you don't wish to but obviously you can't purchase fertiliser legally in the Republic without being registered.. on a side note be interesting to see what happens with lads putting in no maps and purchasing a few artic loads.

You had to declare stock on hand by October 15th. As you can't apply N or P from mid September...we are now considered to have passed the end of year.

I wouldn't be that clever. I've urea now going into it's second year on farm. Small bags bought when it looked like the world was ending on fert and especially small bags of urea.
