Have to pick one up from my daughter and see a lot of reputable sellers have them for around €850 for the 8GB 256GB model, some adds state Irish stock Irish keyboard and three pin charger and apple warranty.

Compared to buying direct from Apple where the same model costs €1109 with the student discount.

So question is any downside from buying one from adverts?

Have a look at cex, they offer a 2 year warranty on all electronics and they are often cheaper than adverts

Is she a student/do you know a student?

If so you can get (from memory) €150 back via a gift card if you purchase from Apple directly. You’ll have that piece of mind that comes from buying direct and she’ll be able to use that on music/apps/headphones etc.

    Worth thinking about.

Went with a highly rated seller on adverts and it was brand new, only slight downside was that they Apple warranty wasnt the full 12 months as it kicked in when originally purchased from Apple so have 7 months left on it but is working fine and no issue
