Leaders Training Day

We can running a day for leaders, especially new leaders, to get together and learn a few of the scout basics. Putting up tents, pioneering, first aid games etc. What do you think would be good to demonstrate on the day?

Its also a good opportunity to get to meet without all those pesky kids ruining everything! 😁

Hi Rory, yeah we had a great day. With the numbers that arrived I ended up with a group every other hour so had time to sit and chill, or wander around to the other bases which was really nice.

We try to run the event every year in the county, as much for the social event for new and old leaders, as for the training.

Good to see the tradition carrying on. I'm a mere 16 years a scouter in Galway. Was never involved as a child.
